Bathtub Reef, Blowing Rocks, the inlet crossing, the sandbars, the catwalks: half the things in this guide are better at one state of the tide and worse at the other. The tide station that matters is the St. Lucie Inlet entrance; the river stations lag it by an hour or more and the ocean beaches further north run a few minutes ahead.
Our visitor information page carries the tide notes we use, with the rule of thumb for each place. The tables themselves come from the national tide service and change every day, so we do not reprint them.
