What Captain Marsh says about the first front

The day the front comes through, stay home and fix your tackle. The day after, be at the dock before me.

Captain Lena Marsh, Reef and River Charters, a fictional captain

We asked the captains in this guide, who are fictional, for the one thing they tell every new angler, and this is the line we would print on a T-shirt. The front stacks the water and the fish; the wind that brings it makes the inlet unsafe for a day. The real captains on the coast say the same thing in different words, usually at four in the morning.
