Inlet paddle sunrise series

The quietest crossing on the coast is the inlet at slack tide just before sunrise, and for four Saturdays in February the Sandbar Paddle guides lead a group of twelve from the Sandsprit Park ramp across to the preserve beach on Jupiter Island, with the sun coming up over the Atlantic as you land. Coffee is poured from a thermos on the sand, the group walks the beach for half an hour and the paddle back is with the incoming tide.
Kayaks, paddles, life jackets and the dry bags are provided; experience is not required, but the inlet is real water and the guides say so. Each Saturday is booked separately.
Good to know
- Twelve paddlers per Saturday; book each date separately.
- Timed to the tide, so the start moves a little each week.
- Wear something that can get wet and a hat for the paddle back.
- Cancelled for wind over fifteen knots, with a full refund.
A fictional event at a real public venue, written to show what the Keel theme can do.
While you are there
The landing is St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park and the same ramp Inlet Light fishes from.
